Vanessa Rivers grew up on a ranch on the Central Coast of California and attended college at UC Santa Barbara, where she fell in love with surfing. Surfing led Vanessa around the world and it was on one of these trips that she decided to combine her love of the ocean and nature to create an eco-friendly swimwear line, Summer Love Swimwear

Vanessa is also the founder of a popular female travel community We Are Travel Girls (on Instagram @WeAreTravelGirls). Vanessa is currently based out of London, and spends much of her time traveling, documenting her adventures on We Are Travel Girls and on her own personal travel blog, Glitter&Mud

Vanessa is a proud new mom to a little travel girl in the making called Sadie. And she also comes from a long line of Hollywood lineage. Vanessa is the daughter of rock singer Johnny Rivers, step-daughter of movie producer Todd Fisher and actress Catherine Hickland, niece of the late Carrie Fisher (Princess Leia), and granddaughter of Hollywood icon Debbie Reynolds, and claims one of her biggest accomplishments is managing to be semi-normal despite her crazy celebrity family.
